Great Googley Moogley!

I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted!  I can blame some of it on the attrocious weather we've been having here in Virginia...anyone besides me never heard of Dericho storms?  Well, that's what we've been having...3 to be exact.  And also a couple of tornados thrown in just for giggles.  I took this picture in front of my home last week before the second tornado struck...

On to something more fun...once again I'm particpating in Lori Anderson's Bead Soup Blog Hop.  Yay...I'm so excited!  I've been partnered with Heather Davis of Blissful Garden Beads, who specializes in flower lampwork beads.  Be sure to check out her blog!

Here's to a New Year

As the New Year has started, I've decided that I **really** need to get my butt in gear and start accomplishing something.  Not that I haven't been doing anything, but there's a big difference because playing around and actually meeting a goal of some sort. 


So...in the vein of other blogs that I read and follow, I've picked a "word" for the year:  Do!  

I haven't put a list in writing (yet,) but I did know my first goal.  I wanted to submit a piece of jewelry to one of the local galleries, Crossroads Art Center, for their shows.  I did and it was accepted!!  Woohoo!

Next on my list?  There's another show, but this time at Art Works, where I'd like to submit a piece or two.  And I'd like to perhaps start selling some things soon...I want a rolling mill!!  :)

This past week Lori Anderson from "Pretty Things" blog was up to her hostess-extraordinaire self again, but this time it was a virtual craft show.  Cool idea or what???

Yep, it's been quite some time since I've posted...didn't even realize how long until I looked at my blog archive gadget.  What a slacker! lol
